FOND DU LAC, Wis. (June 9, 2025) — Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), congratulates Wayne Gregor, of Rosendale, Wis., and Dale Boeck of Oshkosh, Wis., as the winners of the 47th annual Mercury National Walleye Tournament on Lake Winnebago June 7-8.
The event brought more than 550 anglers to compete for a prize package that includes a LUND 1875 Impact XS multi‑species fishing boat equipped with a Mercury 150hp Pro XS outboard, a 9.9hp ProKicker and a Lowrance Ghost 52” trolling motor; a complementing set of accessories; and $5,000 cash. In the two days of fishing, the team hauled in 10 walleyes weighing a total of 28 pounds, 13 ounces.
Since its inception in 1978, the Mercury National event has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of Winnebago Walleye & Fisheries conservation. Walleye Weekend also has a significant economic impact on Fond du Lac, drawing 50,000 people to the three-day festival, which benefits dozens of area nonprofit agencies. Net profits provided to participating organizations since 2020 total more than $1.2 million. Mercury sponsors several events throughout the weekend and dozens of Mercury employees volunteer their time to keep the event running smoothly.
